Geo's Funny Book Stories is a 1973 animated comedy film based on the Geo series. It was directed by George G.. Produced by Geo LTD. Productions, now known as Geo LTD. Animation, Geo's Funny Book Stories was the first theatrical feature-length film by Geo LTD. It is also the first installment in the Geo film series. Geo's Funny Book Stories follows Geo Jones teaching Claire and Reo Jones how to make their own book. Geo finds one of Claire's old books, called The Big Book of Stories Makers. Geo, Claire, and Reo write their own stories in the book.
The film was released on June 15, 1973 to generally mixed reviews. Geo's Funny Book Stories went on to gross $82 million worldwide in theaters, making it a box-office hit while produced on a modest $85 million budget.

Geo's Funny Book Stories was released on VHS, Betamax and Laserdisc from CBS/Fox Video in 1983. It was later released from the same CBS/Fox Video brand on VHS and Laserdisc in 1988 from and again on DVD and VHS in 1997 from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
A 30th Anniversary Edition release of Geo's Funny Book Stories, was released in 2003 on VHS and DVD as a 2-disc DVD. Also, a 40th Anniversary Special Edition of the film was released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 19, 2013 by Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Geo LTD. Home Entertainment and it includes a sneak peek of the CGI-animated film Geo.

The movie made 745,647,824 dollars in the box office. But the movie itself had mixed reviews but most positive "a family fun experience." One critic said. "Geo's Funny Book Stories will make you and your family laugh out loud." Another critic said. It grossed $82 million dollars.
